NTSB Says Washington Controller Fell Asleep

Mar 25, 2011 — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is still probing what happened early Wednesday morning when two commercial jets were unable to make contact with the air traffic control tower at Washington Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) as they were landing.The NTSB released a statement about the investigation and says the controller on duty at the time of the incident indicated he fell asleep.
